Short CV
Francesco Andreatta obtained a MSc in Materials Engineering at the University of Trento in 1999. He received a PhD in Material Science at the Delft University of Technology in 2003. In 2004, he was post-doc researcher at the Delft University of Technology. Since 2005, he has been employed at the University of Udine. Since 2015, he is associate professor in the field of Materials Science and Technology at the Polytechnic Department of Engineering and Architecture of the University of Udine. His field of competence includes the application of standard and local electrochemical techniques for the study of corrosion processes, the study of corrosion mechanisms of metals and alloys and the development of environmentally friendly coatings for corrosion protection.

- Study and development of environmentally friendly and multifunctional organic coatings;
- Study and development of biocompatible and corrosion-resistant materials using additive technologies;
- Development of low-particulate friction material for braking systems of electric vehicles (BEV), hybrids (HEV) and plug-in hybrids (PHEV);
