Short CV

Maschio Stefano was born at Pordenone (Italy) on 07/08/1955, gets the school leaving certificate at the “Marinelli” Scientific Lyceum (Udine-Italy) and the degree in Chemical engineering at the University of Trieste. He has been working at the Riso Nat. Lab.  (Denmark) on 1987 and visiting scientist at the Max Plank Institute of Stuttgart (Germany) on 1988.

In 1989 he is technician with degree at the University of Trieste working in the Institute of Applied and Industrial Chemistry. In September 1992 he is researcher at University of Udine working for the Faculty of Engineering in the Department of Science and Chemical Technologies. From November 2005 he is Associated Professor of Materials Science at the University of Udine-Italy teaching “Materials Science and Technology” and “Science and Technology of Ceramics”.

His research work has been mainly concentrated in the field of materials science and technology. For this scope he studied conventional and non-conventional preparations of ceramic powders for the sintering of advanced ceramics. In the recent past he studied the production of traditional ceramics using mixtures containing also industrial by-products. Presently he is preparing several cement-based or geopolymer-based monoliths containing industrial by-products for application in the building sector. Stefano Maschio is co-author of several publications in international journals.
