Short CV

Fixed-term researcher in the field of Materials Science and Technology, on PNRR project iNEST (Interconnected Northeast Innovation Ecosystem), with topics on “analysis of hybrid and traditional materials for hydrogen storage” and “new materials for additive manufacturing”.

After obtaining a Master's degree in Science and Technology of Bio and Nano Materials at Ca' Foscari University of Venice, he did his Ph.D. in Materials Chemistry at Kyoto Institute of Technology in Japan (京都工芸繊維大学) discussing his doctoral thesis entitled "Role of surface texture and off-stoichiometry on the structural, biogenic, and antibacterial properties of inorganic biomaterials." During the research activity, in collaboration with Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine, Amedica Co. and Shinsei Co., worked on the development of coatings and surface treatments to be applied to inorganic materials for subsequent application in biomedical fields as stimulators of cell activity and/or reducers of bacterial proliferation.

After the completion of his Ph.D., he returned to Italy and took up a position as a research fellow at the Polytechnic Department of Engineering and Architecture, University of Udine, where he worked on the study of bio-corrosive degradation mechanisms of metal alloys in physiological environments.

Author and co-author of numerous publications in international journals and referee for some of them. Speaker at national and international scientific conferences and symposia.
